A Diesel Mechanic & A Registered Nurse

At Northern Rivers Farms, we are proud to be a sustainable agricultural business. Run by husband and wife team Kristian and Wendy, we’ve been in business since 2016.

Kristian started life as a diesel mechanic before moving into transport and logistics to move up the ranks to state distribution manager of a billion dollar business with an Australian icon, Steggles Chickens.

Wendy’s background is a registered nurse in the operating theatre. Wendy has continued with her further professional development by completing a master’s degree in Advanced Practice Nursing and is qualified as a Perioperative Nurse Surgical Assistant.

Rural Services & Fresh Produce

Together, we relocated to the Northern Rivers region from Ipswich for a tree change. We purchased a 700 acre property in the picturesque valley of Sextonville which borders the Richmond State Forest. We then went to work on moving a house and shed to the property and getting hooked up with off-grid power.

Our farm is approximately two thirds private native forest and we quickly realised that the forest was in desperate need of regeneration and management.

This led to our business and the ethos that we can help farmers and communities to regenerate their properties. Our business has since grown to include a diverse range of products and services. We not only provide rural services such as land clearing, rural fencing and mulching; we also supply the simple things like fresh eggs, honey and firewood.
